  • Question: There is a drain line plugged in my home. Will drain cleaner work by itself?

    Answer: Most drain clogging problems are caused by food from a garbage disposal or hair. While drain cleaner is often effective with grease, it doesn't usually work to remove clogs. The most reliable solution is to have the drain snaked.

  • Question: I'm not getting very much water pressure from my faucet. What's the best way to fix it?

    Answer: Try unscrewing the wire strainer from the end of your faucet and cleaning it out. If you still aren't getting adequate water pressure, your problems are deeper inside the faucet or water pipes.

  • Question: How can I fix a leaking shutoff valve or hose bib that drips from the top?

    Answer: You can start by tightening the pack nut located just below the valve handle. Turning it halfway will usually tighten it enough. If it still leaks, the valve will need to be replaced.

  • Question: I have copper pipe in my home, but I hear concerns about plastic piping. What's the best type to use?

    Answer: Plastic piping has been around for about 20 years and is only getting better. It's cheaper to install or repair than copper and it doesn't lose heat like metal piping. It not only saves you money but gets you hot water faster.
